As we drove through the tiny little town of Oolitic yesterday, I was reminded of a morning long ago when the kids were down in grade school, and liked to take a fun class for a few weeks in the summertime. This particular morning, we were running late and we were out of cereal and we had no bread and I was desperate. It was the desperation that drove me to it.
My children still refer to this morning as “the time Mommy took us to the liquor store for breakfast.”
